A Powerful Combination

Team SSC is a powerful combination of world-class companies teamed to capture the U.S. Navy's Ship to Shore Connector. The goal is to replace the current Landing Craft Air Cushion—LCAC—with a lower-cost, higher-availability, next-generation platform. The team consists of Marinette Marine Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation, GE Marine, Oceaneering and Griffon Hoverwork. Together, they are prepared to deliver a vessel capable of unparalleled performance for lowest total ownership cost.

The SSC will be built at MMC affiliate ACE Marine, builder of the USCG Response Boat Medium at its Aluminum Center of Excellence in Green Bay, Wisconsin.		Lockheed Martin systems solutions incorporate novel open architectures which results in improved efficiency, enhanced security and reduced cost.


The GE38 provides a proven combination of best-in-class SFC and rugged design to meet the demanding ship to shore mission profile.		Oceaneering conducts Service Life Extension overhauls of the LCACs at facilities in Norfolk, Virginia, and Oceanside, California.


	Griffon Hoverwork has placed more than 150 hovercraft in service, operating in over 35 countries around the world.
